COUNTDOWN TO O-WEEK 2016:

Copy of IMG_0386Orientation Week (O-Week) is a two week-long schedule involving everything from parties, activities and braais, to speed dates; specifically designed to allow our freshmen to experience the joys of becoming an adult in the true sense. Most importantly, this is all achieved within a controlled environment with help literally a phone call away as well as the House Committee and Sub-Wardens available to help 24/7.

O-Week will be an opportunity to make new friends who will become your brothers throughout the coming years, and long after you leave Smuts Hall behind. Take full advantage of the awesome activities that have been arranged for you and do not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone; this is the time to broaden your horizons and develop your character to its fullest potential.

To end the week of controlled chaos, we have the Neville Isdell Leadership Weekend. This event aims to expose our freshmen to the possibilities that exist and the opportunities available as well as the prestigious title of being welcomed into the Smuts Hall “Brotherhood”.For the week to be a complete success, it requires full participation from our freshmen at each event; singing Smuts songs and becoming a part of the “brotherhood” we pride ourselves on.
